Pol Kessler

Chosen of Olladra

Medium humanoid (half-elf), chaotic good

Pol is a handsome young Khoravar, but he often disguises himself as a human. He frequently wears Brelish military garb and a stylish cape when on the road, and his favorite stops are military outposts. He’s never seen without his mandolin, a well-worn short sword at his side, and the symbol of Olladra around his neck.

Spellcasting. Pol is a 6th-level bard—his spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks); he can cast a bard spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and he has the spell prepared. He can use a musical instrument as a focus. Pol is also a 5th-level cleric—his spellcasting ability is Wisdom (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks); he can cast a cleric spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and he has the spell prepared.

Pol can always find a place to perform, usually in an inn or tavern but possibly with a circus, at a theater, or even in a noble’s court. At such a place, he receives free lodging and food of a modest or comfortable standard (depending on the quality of the establishment), as long as he performs each night. In addition, his performances make him something of a local figure. When strangers recognize him in a town where he has performed, they typically take a liking to him.
