Not exactly sure if I am getting soft or what, but it seems that I have decided to keep a Goblin prisoner from our latest battles. I didn’t really see a reason to kill the poor soul. Yes, perhaps he did choose to follow the wrong leader, but then again Goblin mentality is to follow the strongest leader. Turgut seemed to be that leader for him, until the death given by Anderwulf’s blade.
Speaking of Anderwulf, I personally am not sure how to feel about the most recent escapade with him. I know we were clearly outnumbered in Goblins and Hobgoblins as we attacked Turguts base camp. I had an opportunity to advance and get away, when I spotted Anderwulf being surrounded by four big bad and uglies. I turned to back him up and upon arrival to help him in battle, he disappeared and left me standing there alone with the combatants while he chased Turgut down with his magic.
I am not a true fighter in the sense of the word and found myself clearly overwhelmed and I knew I was going to die. I chose to disengage and move to a place of hiding to save my own skin. I still think the true savior of the fight was Advar.
Advar truly showed his power in that fight. Quiet impressive and I would gladly have him at my side, in a fight, any day. I watched him cast a magic spell that ripped through several of the Goblins as if they were butter to a hot knife. I certainly wouldn’t want to piss him off anytime soon.
Now then as for Alanna, I am not exactly sure what she was thinking the whole fight. She is a beast when it comes to utilizing her sword and fighting, but this fight she chose to run around with my heavy crossbow and shoot things with bolts instead of engaging in the fight. Perhaps she thought she was Armak, who is killer with his bow. Either way her lack in judgement is questionable during one of the largest fights we as a group have been in.
Goat boy has skills with his aim and shooting. He was plucking off the enemy several at a time with his arrows. His aim is immaculate and I bet he could take an eye out at six hundred yards or more.
I myself had several kills during that fight. Now I have this prisoner I have given my word of protection to and have no clue what to do with him. If I let him go he is good as dead alone here in these lands. If I take him back to the Goblin king he will be killed also. I don’t know what type of loyalty he would offer as a henchman. Decisions decisions.
