It’s amazing what one finds out about others even after being with them for an extended period of time. I thought I was beginning to know a few of the members of our group, but these last few days have proven me quiet wrong.
I thought I was finally going to get an opportunity to meet up with the trainer of Mysaer, my elven horse. I did some serious reading up on the elven horses and found that in order to truly have one trained one bonds with them after proving their fighting ability. This was a a whole ritual and until that ritual is performed, one is not considered worthy of riding such an elegant beast. In other words, every Valenar elf that we meet will try and kill us to free the horse because we are not considered worthy.
Now proving ones worthiness is a whole different story. I really thought I might be successful at that, but it seems the rest of the party did not desire such to happen. I can see now this is a personal quest that I will have to accomplish on my own.
Just to get the privilege to speak with a trainer I will have to fight for that honor. I had that situation come up and was in a one to one fight when Advar chose to jump in on it and it was not a fair fight any longer. Ruining my opportunity to further advance the process to meet the Silaqui.
For now this personal journey has had to take a back seat to the more important mission we have been sent on. The King of Darguun has sent us out to hunt down an Hobgoblin rebel that has started an uprising and is attacking the towns around. New Cyre was one of those towns and is now in a recovery phase. It looks like we will be heading into Cyre in search of this outlaw Hobgoblin.
